The Rust-en-Vrede Coffee Shop

The name “Rust-en-Vrede” more than spells out what you will find when you drop in at this beautiful coffee shop. Although situated in the hub of Durbanville, you won’t even hear the traffic in this tranquil setting. Enjoy freshly-brewed coffee, divine cheese cake and fresh, home-baked bread. The menu has recently been changed to suit the season and daily blackboard specials will leave you spoilt for choice. There is room inside, where the elegant style complements the food, or a wide patio where you can soak up the sun or enjoy the dappled shade under the 100 year old tree.

Owner Marianne du Toit is always there for the personal touch and to make sure that you are 100% happy. The coffee shop serves a variety of breakfasts and light lunches. Silwood-trained chef, Kirsty-Lee Munro prepares delectable dishes which are served with flair and grace.

Opening times are: Monday to Friday: 7:30 - 5 Saturday: 8- 2, SUNDAYS: CLOSED.

Open on Public holidays 8 - 2 and for functions and special occasions.
